02Why this ride matters
Endoscopy, colonoscopy, cataract surgery, dental sedation, minor orthopaedic work: almost every outpatient procedure using anaesthesia comes with a written condition that a responsible adult accompanies the patient home. Facilities enforce it, and a patient who arrives without a plan is sent away.
That single rule cancels more procedures than any clinical reason. It is also completely solvable with a booking made a week earlier.
Jomia arranges the drop-off, the return timing and, where the facility requires it, an escorted handover so the discharge nurse can release the patient with confidence.

Post-sedation riders are unsteady, sometimes nauseous and often unable to remember instructions clearly. Drivers move slowly, keep the vehicle quiet and cool, and carry discharge paperwork and prescriptions so nothing is dropped in a car park.

Jomia operates out of Woodbridge and drives daily through the Virginia medical corridors. If your pickup address or destination sits further out in Virginia, call and we will confirm availability honestly before you rely on it.
Questions, answered
Policies differ by facility. Many accept a pre-arranged escorted transportation service; some require a family member or friend. Confirm with your facility first, then tell us exactly what they require so the trip is arranged to match.
Early enough to get you there on time. Pre-dawn pickups for procedure days are routine and should be booked at least a few days ahead.
Return timing stays open. You or the recovery nurse calls when discharge is cleared, and the driver returns for the collection.
Jomia provides transportation, not a companion sitting service. The driver returns for discharge rather than staying in the waiting room for several hours.
Yes. After sedation the trip ends inside the door, not at the kerb, and the driver makes sure you are settled before leaving.
Yes, and it is a good idea when a facility requires a named responsible adult. Companion seating is available on request.
Yes, provided the facility discharges the patient as medically stable for standard transportation. If clinical monitoring is required in transit, a clinical transport service is needed instead.
